Hi, my name is Lulu Fitri Rahman. I am an HPI Certified Translator (English to Indonesian) based in Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia.
I specialize in literary translations and have been working with a variety of publishers since 2005, translating fiction and non-fiction books. I worked as an in-house editor in Penerbit Matahati, where I gained my skills in editing and proofreading. You can view a complete list of my works here.
I also have an interest in translating other subjects, especially on architecture and urban planning, arts, materials, furniture/household appliances, travel and tourism. Before starting a full-time career as a translator, I worked as an architect for over 5 years, providing me with a strong background in those subjects.
I launched this blog in 2010 and named it “LAMFARO”, derived from my initials in Arabic. It consists mostly of my musings on being a translator and editor. I write them in bahasa Indonesia. Feel free to leave comments. You can also share or copy the posts as long as there is a link back to the original.
Don’t hesitate to contact me for help with English to Indonesian translation or editing. I will be happy to hear from you.
